Brown jasmine rice is an unpolished grain, which means it is higher in vitamins, minerals and fibre compared to polished rice. When cooked, brown jasmine rice is light brown in colour with a sweet nutty flavour and a deliciously chewy texture. Brown Jasmine Rice can also be combined with Red Cargo Rice in equal proportions and cooked together.? Brown rice requires longer cooking time than white polished rice, thus it is best to pre-soak the rice at least four hours or overnight in plenty of water to cover. This reduces cooking time and increases health benefits.
